Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to do before the consultation?

After you book your consultation, you’ll get a text confirming your appointment. Many clients feel a bit nervous or stressed before the consultation, and that’s completely normal. The purpose of this meeting is simply to ensure my services are the right fit for you and to outline the process. You should be proud of yourself for taking the first step toward gaining more confidence in your finances!

How long do I need financial coaching services?

The goal is to work with clients for as long as they feel it is needed for their situation. Some clients only need a couple months to build the confidence and skills to manage their finances independently after that. Some clients opt for going longer to dive even deeper into some areas or just enjoy having a set time to discuss and work on their finances monthly. Other prefer occasional check-ins, whether monthly or every couple of months, to brainstorm ideas or address new financial concerns that may have come up. Ultimately, you are in control of deciding what path works best for you.

Is financial coaching only for people who have debt?

Not at all! Financial coaching is about helping clients achieve more financially with my guidance than they could on their own. Whether someone has $50,000 in debt, $5,000, or no debt and $20,000 in savings, they can benefit from financial coaching. It's not just about financial education on topics many people weren't taught. It’s about making sure your money is aligned with your values and goals, maximizing every dollar to fit your unique situation.

Are you going to tell me to stop spending my money on things that make me happy?

Absolutely not. My role is not to tell you what to do. Instead, we’ll work together to organize your finances and review where your money is going. The goal of each session is for you to gain a deeper understanding of your situation and feel more confident in your spending and planning for the future, based on the knowledge and insights you’ve gathered. You should feel certain that every dollar is going exactly where you want it to, while also helping you work toward your goals. It’s your life, so ultimately, you’ll decide if your purchases are serving you in a way that brings you confidence and satisfaction with your financial situation.
